SFERS approves $175m in commitments

The U.S. public pension has backed four venture capital funds.

San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System announced commitments of $25 million to LYFE Capital Fund III, $40 million to Longitude Venture Partners IV, $100 million to Knightsbridge H 2019 and $10 million to Knightsbridge A.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $26.46 billion US public pension has an 18.00 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 21.10 percent, a 1.5 percent increase since March 2019. SFERS has committed a total of $860 million to private equity so far in 2019.
