AXA leads $12m funding round for Chinese mobile search company

Shenzhen-based Easou has raised a Series C funding round from private equity firms including AXA and iD TechVentures.

AXA Private Equity and iD TechVentures have led a third round of financing totalling $12 million for mobile search company, Easou.

Founded in 2005, the Chinese company provides mobile users with search-based information services and targeted SMS advertising. It has more than 300 employees and is situated in Shenzhen.

Easou aims to use the funds to aid its global expansion.

AXA currently manages $25 billion assets.

iD TechVentures, formerly Acer Technology Ventures, is a fund manager focusing on high growth opportunities in China. It was established in 2000 and is currently managing $400 million funds.
