BGH raises $1.9bn

BGH Capital is seeking mid-to-large cap investments from its debut Australia-focused fund.

Melbourne-headquartered firm BGH Capital has raised a total of A$2.6 billion ($1.9 billion; €1.6 billion) in the final closing for the BGH Capital Fund I.

The Australian fund manager achieved the fundraising target of A$2 billion ($1.5 billion; €1.3 billion) and surpassed the hard-cap of A$2.5 billion after around six months of fundraising for its debut vehicle.

To achieve greater investment flexibility between mid-market and large-cap deals, the fund’s capital will be invested in companies with a broad range of enterprise value between from A$250 million to A$6 billion in Australia and New Zealand.
