Blackstone Strategic Partners raises $11bn

The global secondaries platform closes eighth fund $3 billion above target.

Blackstone Strategic Partners has held a final close for Strategic Partners Fund VIII at $11 billion, surpassing the initial target of $8 billion. The total includes related committed programme vehicles.

The fund’s investor base includes the Minnesota State Board of Investment, Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Cathay Life Insurance, and Fubon Life Insurance.

JP Morgan Securities, Compass Group, and UBS Private Funds Group were all involved in providing placement agent services, according to SEC filings for the fund.
