Berlin-based venture capital company bmp has sold its 10.74 per cent shareholding in Internet Data Systems to internet investor Softbank, at a significant profit.
Jens Spyrka, president of bmp Polska, said: ”This means that after only 14 months, we have completed our first successful exit from one of our Polish holdings. bmp took its equity stake in Internet Data Systems at the end of 1999, and worked on the development of its strategic orientation.” Internet Data Systems caters for Polish schools and government offices.
bmp AG was founded in 1997 and has been active as a venture capital investor in Germany, Europe and the USA. To date, the firm has invested over E100m. bmp has four other investments in Poland.
