A boutique placement agency has bulked up its capabilities around building international limited partner relationships.
Champlain Advisors, a New York-based placement shop, has hired Asmat Doza, a former executive at PineBridge Investments, as a vice president to help maintain international LP relationships, as well as general partner origination and client management.
Doza joined Champlain in September, according to Terence Crikelair, managing partner.
Doza has spent recent years working with LPs. At PineBridge, which he joined in 2006, Doza worked in the private funds group conducting due diligence on funds and serving on LP advisory boards, according to Champlain’s web site.
Prior to PineBridge, Doza worked in the private equity finance group at Credit Suisse. He began his career at The Blackstone Group.
Champlain was founded in 2003 by Crikelair and Sean Twomey. The firm has raised more than $20 billion globally across 35 funds, including Quantum Energy Partners V at $2.5 billion and Resource Land Fund IV with $316 million.
