CapMan restructures

The Finnish private equity firm will re-organise its operations before listing on the Helsinki Stock Exchange in April 2001.

The first step will be merging CapMan Partners Oy with Vestcap Oyj to form what will be one of the Nordic region's leading private equity firms -CapMan Oyj.

Ari Tolppanen, CapMan president and incoming chairman of the European Venture Capital Association, said the planned listing of CapMan Oyj would “allow smaller institutions and private individuals to participate in the potential for yield from this class of investment.”

E120m mezzanine fund

In a separate development, CapMan Capital Management Oy – part of CapMan Partners Oy – has established a new, E120m mezzanine fund.

Finnmezzanine Fund III is the Finnish venture capitalist's third mezzanine fund, and its eleventh private equity fund.

Finnmezzanine targets medium-sized, unlisted companies, and invests on average E5m-20m.
