The Carlyle Group raises €1.35bn

The global alternative asset manager closes latest technology-focused fund at hard-cap.

The Carlyle Group has announced the first and final close of Carlyle Europe Technology Partners IV (CETP IV) at its €1.35 billion hard-cap. The vehicle, which was launched in October 2018, invests in lower mid-market technology-focused companies in Europe and the US. It is more than double the size of its predecessor, which closed at €656.5 million in May 2015.

Investors in CETP IV include sovereign wealth funds, pensions funds, insurance companies, funds of funds, foundations, family offices and high-net-worth-individuals.
