Carlyle makes third MENA hire

Firas Nasir joins The Carlyle Group’s MENA team as head of the newly opened Dubai office.

The Carlyle Group has appointed Firas Nasir to its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team as managing director in Dubai.


Nasir: Latest MENA hire

The private equity firm established the Dubai office in November 2006 and also has offices in Cairo and Istanbul. It recently hired Can Deldag as managing director in Turkey and Hassan El-Khatib as managing director in Egypt.


Nasir was previously executive director at UBS Investment Bank and vice president of M&A at Credit Suisse First Boston.


Founded in 1987, The Carlyle Group has more than $54 billion (€41 billion) under management.
