Carlyle promotes 13 to managing director

The firm has promoted 41 total professionals across its buyout, growth capital, real estate, investor relations and global market strategies groups.

The Carlyle Group has made a raft of promotions across its organisation, including 13 to managing director.

Among the new managing directors are New York-based Elliot Wagner, Sydney-based Matthew Hunter and Tokyo-based Hiroyuki Otsuka, all in the firm’s buyout group. Carlyle also promoted two investor relations professionals, two legal and compliance executives and one global market strategies member from the energy mezzanine group, Rahul Culas.

Three of the 13 managing directors work on Carlyle’s real estate team: Washington DC-based Thad Paul, London-based Mark Harris and Milan-based Valeria Falcone.

Carlyle also promoted a further 28 professionals to the role of principal or director, the same position but carrying the former title in the US and the latter in Europe.

The 41 total promotions cover the firm’s buyout, growth capital, real estate, investor relations and global market strategies groups.
