Bank of Scotland and 3i go to the dentist
Bank of Scotland and 3i have put up $29.8m in second round funding for James Hull Associates, a dentist with a website.
Bank of Scotland stumped up $22.7m of debt and equity financing and existing investor 3i put in $7.1m. The investment brings 3i’s stake in James Hull to 37.5 per cent.
James Hull said it would use the money to up the number of its private dental practices in the UK.
PricewaterhouseCoopers advised 3i.
High Tech Beteiligungen invests in Bernina
High Tech Beteiligungen has led second round of E7.7m in Bernina Biosystems, a biotech firm from Tutzing.
Lead investor High Tech Beteiligungen and Belgian funds Rendex NV and Merksem Fund invested E5.6m.
Existing investors Earlybird, BioM and TBG invested a further E2m.
