Duke Street Capital recruits

The UK private equity firm has bolstered its financial controlling capabilities with two new appointments.

Duke Street Capital (DSC), the UK private equity firm, has made John Hudson a director in charge of the financial control of investee companies and Jeffrey Belkin financial controller and director of the group.

Hudson joined DSC as finance director in 1999. His new role moves him onto the private equity scene, where he will oversee the implementation of financial controls and strategic financial planning processes of investee companies.

Prior to joining DSC, Hudson was interim head of finance at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity. Before that he was a financial consultant at Close Private Equity.

Belkin joins DSC from Schroders and will be responsible for both Duke Street Capital and Duke Street Capital Debt Management. He will oversee the group’s finance and funds administration operations.

Previously Belkin was responsible for group management accounting at Schroders from 1995 to 2000. He went on to become head of finance at Schroder Finance Partners, a Schroders venture fund management vehicle, and head of global retail.
