Texas-based EIV Capital has closed its second fund on $267 million, beating its $200 million target.
The firm said in a statement that Fund II completed its institutional fundraise over the six months between June 2014 and the end of the year. Regulatory filings show the fund has been in market since mid-2013. This was the first institutional grade fund for the firm.
The expanded investor base includes returning LPs, pensions, fund of funds and family offices.
EIV makes growth investments in midstream and related oilfield services companies. Fund two has already invested in two companies, typical investment size ranges from $10-40 million according to the firm’s website.
Champlain Advisors served as placement agent for the fund.
