The first appointment is Liz Jones to the group’s London office as an assistant director, new investments. Jones was previously associate director at Barclays Ventures, where she led and supported a number of private equity transactions.
Second to join the group is Kevin Whittle as a portfolio director in the firm’s London office. Between 1995-96, Whittle was with Ernst & Young in its corporate finance division advising on private equity transactions. He then joined the EWS Group, a venture capital-backed MBI where for the last two years he has reigned as CEO.
The firm has made four promotions. Mark Advani has risen from his position as director of Friends Ivory & Sime Private Equity to head of new investments in Birmingham. Shani Zindel is now a director, new investments in London, and Adam Holloway and Mark Turner have been made directors in the company’s portfolio management division.
