GoldPoint Partners raises $850m

The New York-based firm closes its sixth co-investment vehicle at hard cap.

GoldPoint Partners held a final close on its sixth co-investment vehicle, GoldPoint Partners Co-Investment VI, at $850 million.

The fund, which closed at its hard cap after a nine-month fundraising period, will continue the New York-based firm’s strategy of providing equity co-investment capital to acquire middle-market businesses in North America and Western Europe. Limited partners in Fund VI include two Louisiana pension funds: the Municipal Police Employees’ Retirement System and the Parochial Employees’ Retirement System, which committed $15 million and $20 million, respectively.

GoldPoint, the private equity arm of New York Life Investment Management, closed the predecessor Co-Investment Fund V in 2015 after raising $675 million.
