Good Energies appoints David Gottfried as advisor

The renewable energy and energy efficiency specialist investor has hired a real estate veteran to boost its green building credentials.

Good Energies, one of the largest investors in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industry, has hired David Gottfried as an advisor to the green building and energy efficiency team, led by managing director Greg Kats. 

Gottfried is currently chief executive of Regenerative Ventures, and its consulting arm, WorldBuild Consulting.  Since 1995, WorldBuild has worked with more than 100 building industry clients that strive to lessen their reliance on limited natural resources and wasteful practices, while boosting lifecycle-based economics and quality of life.

Gottfried has 25 years of real estate, consulting and non-profit experience in the building industry, including founding and serving as the first president of the US Green Building Council.  He is a well-respected green strategic consultant, investment fund manager, real estate developer, construction manager, keynote speaker and author.

Good Energies operates globally with offices in London, New York, Toronto, Washington DC, and Zug. The annual investment budget is €350 million ($500 million). The current market capitalisation of its portfolio amounts to more than €4billion.
