Hull Street Energy raises $500m

The US-based private equity firm has closed its first institutional fund above target.

Hull Street Energy has closed its debut institutional fund with more than $500 million of capital commitments, surpassing the fundraising target. HSE is focused on the North American mid-market power sector. The firm invests in companies operating in electricity infrastructure, including fuel inputs, renewable and fossil powered generation assets, transmission and distribution systems, and electricity demand-side businesses.

Investors in the fund include endowments and foundations, insurance companies, consultants, corporate pension plans, funds of funds, and family offices.
