South African investment bank Investec has added to its private equity team with the appointment of Nick Marsh to associate principal.
Marsh joins the firm from LGV Capital in London where he was an investment director.
Prior to LGV Capital, he was a manager at Bain & Company where he worked in London and South Africa.
He will work on the private equity team and private equity investments in Africa. Investec Asset Management has over $41 billion invested in Africa across all asset classes. The Investec Africa private equity team focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in established mid-market companies in Africa.
The firm was in the news last week for the sale of its Irish home loan business Start Mortgage and additional Irish mortgage assets to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds. That portfolio is valued at €540m.
