Lighthouse Funds raises $250m

The Mumbai-based investment firm closes its third venture capital fund.

Lighthouse Funds has closed India 2020 Fund III at $250 million, which includes $20 million of co-investment capital, surpassing its fundraising target of $200 million. The fund follows the same strategy as its predecessors, focusing on growth investments of consumer goods, healthcare, retail sectors in India.

The fund received commitments from institutions including the International Finance Corporation (IFC)CDC Group and DEG – Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft.

The firm is now managing three funds and the total capital raised for the funds is $488 million.
