Monogram raises $152m debut vehicle

The Los Angeles-based firm will target lower mid-market consumer and retail companies in its oversubscribed first fund.

Monogram Capital Partners held a final close on its inaugural fund, Monogram Capital Partners I, at $152 million.

The fund, which was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap, will pursue growth- and control-equity investments in lower mid-market consumer and retail businesses, preferring bite sizes of $5 million to $30 million.

The Los Angeles-based firm has previously made 14 investments on a deal-by-deal basis in nine portfolio companies, including Dig Inn, Country Archer Jerky and Chewy.com.

Acalyx Advisors served as Monogram’s placement agent, and Latham & Watkins was the legal adviser.
