New CFO at NMT

Swiss healthcare investment house NMT New Medical Technologies has hired Beat Hermann.

NMT New Medical Technologies, the Swiss healthcare venture capitalist, has bolstered its management team with the appointment of Beat Hermann as CFO.

Hermann will take up his role at the beginning of 2002. He replaces Dr Lukas Alioth.

Prior to this appointment, Hermann was the head of group controlling of STRATEC Medical and head of investor relations for Synthes-Stratec in Switzerland.

NMT is focused on growing start-up companies in Switzerland and the surrounding regions. It also invests in later stage public and private business. The firm was set up in 1997 by UBS and Roche Finance and manages SFr296m (E201m) of committed capital.
