Private equity firm Olympus Capital Asia has raised $276 million of its $300 million target for its second clean energy fund – Asia Environmental Partners II (AEP II) – according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Low Carbon Energy Investor reported.Â
Olympus has so far garnered commitments from 37 limited partners, including buy-in from some of the world’s largest multilateral institutions. The Asian Development Bank (ADB), for example, has committed $30 million to AEP II, with the IFC investing $25 million. The IFC’s $418 million Catalyst Fund, a low carbon private equity fund of funds, has also contributed $30 million to AEP II.
