Osage Partners raises $273m

The Pennsylvania venture capital firm closes its third life sciences fund.

Osage Partners has announced the final closing of Osage University Partners III at $273 million, surpassing its initial target of $250 million. The firm’s third fund in the Osage University Partners series will invest in university-based startups within the biotechnology and life science industries.

The fund raised capital from four new investors as well as 15 investors who committed capital to the fund’s predecessor, Osage University Partners II, which closed in March 2015 at $215 million.

Osage Partners is located in the Philadelphia suburb of Bala Cynwyd and currently manages over $800 million in assets.
