Parthenon promotes Golson to partner

Parthenon Capital has promoted Brian Golson to partner in its San Francisco office.

Parthenon Capital has announced the promotion of Brian Golson to partner.

Golson will serve out of the San Francisco office of Parthenon, which also has another location in Boston.

Golson joined the mid-market investor as a principal in 2002 focusing on financial services, business services and technology. Prior to Parthenon, he was the chief financial officer and vice president of operations for Everdream, a business process outsourcing company that he helped build to 150 employees.

Parthenon is a $1.1 billion private equity firm that focuses on business/financial services; food beverage; healthcare; consumer products; distribution; and nice manufacturing. In November, Parthenon sold its controlling stake in Spheris, a US medical transcription business, to private equity groups Warburg Pincus and Soros Private Equity, yielding the firm a reported 90 percent internal rate of return.
