Growth investor TA Associates has made four promotions across its offices in Boston, London and Mumbai. Birker Bahnsen, based in London, has been promoted to managing director. Bahnsen has led a number of the firm’s healthcare investments and was also actively involved in its investment in UK lifestyle brand Cath Kidston, which the firm exited in September 2016. He joined TA in 2009 having previously been an associate director at HgCapital.
In Boston the firm promoted Ethan Liebermann, a healthcare specialist, to principal, and in Mumbai it promoted Aditya Sharma to senior vice-president and Vivek Mohan to vice-president.
UK-based mid-market firm ECI Partners, meanwhile, promoted Suzanne Pike and Stephen Roberts, both to director. Pike joined ECI in 2011 to focus on deal origination and Roberts arrived in 2015, having been seconded to the firm from PwC’s corporate finance team.
Primary Capital, a London-headquartered mid-market firm, has promoted David Richards, who has been with the firm since 2014, to assistant director. Richards worked on the firm’s investments in MSIS, which specialises in environmental and waste management services, and Maru, a customer intelligence company.
Foresight Group, a UK-based firm that invests in private equity and infrastructure, has promoted Seb Saywood to director in is private equity team. Saywood joined the firm in 2013 to deploy its Foresight Nottingham Fund.
Earlier in the week Pantheon revealed 15 promotions across its offices, including the elevation of its chief financial officer Robin Bailey to partner.
