Quartilium hires mezz specialist

The fund of funds arm of Paris-based Finama Private Equity has bolstered its mezzanine operation with the appointment of Pascal Feucher as an investment manager.

Quartilium, the fund of funds arm of Finama Private Equity, has recruited Pascal Feucher as an investment manager.

Feucher, 34, was formerly a portfolio manager at Vallauris CLO, a €300 million collateralised loan obligation fund managed by Natexis Banques Populaires and invested in a diversified pool of leveraged buyout assets.

Prior to that he had been part of the leveraged finance structuring team at Natexis, overseeing senior debt and mezzanine activities in the US, France and Southern Europe. From 1995 to 2001, he was a member of Natexis’ emerging markets group specialising in Asia.

At Finama, Feucher will assume responsibility for Quartilium’s mezzanine program in the US and Europe. Quartilium Mezzanine, one of just a few European mezzanine fund of funds, held a first closing on €50 million in December 2004 and remains open to new investors throughout 2005.

Established in 1998, Quartilium has €500 million in assets under management in funds of funds programmes in Europe and the US targeting mid-market buyout funds, venture capital funds, large buyout funds, mezzanine funds and secondaries.

Quartilium is the fund of funds arm of Finama Private Equity, a management company affiliated to Groupama, the French generalist insurance group with €57 billion of assets under management.
