SFERS approves $275m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System announced commitments of $100 million each to Energy & Minerals Group Fund V, SSG Capital Partners V and $75 million to OrbiMed Royalty & Credit Opportunities III.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $24.14 billion US public pension has a 18.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 19.6 percent. SFERS committed a total of $345 million to private equity in Q2 2019.
