PEI Manager's 2009 Private Equity Investor Relations Compensation Survey, the most authoritative benchmark for the compensation of private equity IR professionals, showed that investor relations professionals continue to gain ground as essential members of their organisation. Nearly half of the respondents reported participating in carry, and nearly a half said they are at the level of a director or above within the firm. But on the downside, most said they did not receive a raise in 2008 – a sign of the tough times.
