Siparex Group hires

The French private equity firm has added Bertrand Rambaud as a managing director.

Bertrand Rambaud has joined Sigefi Partners, the company that runs the Siparex Group of private equity funds, as a managing director. He will also be a member of the board of directors which is made up of Sigefi's 10 managing partners.

The company says that Rambaud will be in charge of a team dedicated to providing expansion capital and buyout financing to companies based in what it describes as the 'great Eastern' region of France.

Rambaud, a chartered accountant, has already spent time with Siparex, having been an investment manager with the Group before leaving to join PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997 as a Partner.

Sigefi (Siparex Ingenierie et Finance) was founded in Lyon in 1977 and now has 35 professionals managing over E680m in assets, half of which is dedicated to LBO opportunities. The firm also has smaller allocations to early-stage and emerging market private equity investing as well as development capital.
