Unigestion bolsters London and Geneva teams

The Swiss alternative investment manager has made three hires to its London and Geneva offices.

European asset management firm Unigestion has strengthened its private equity teams in Geneva and London with the hire of three investment professionals.
 
Francesco di Valmarana has joined the London office from DN Capital, where he was a partner investing in European technology companies. Prior to that, he was a member of the European investment team at Advent International, specialising in buyouts in the media and retail sectors.
 
At Unigestion, di Valmarana takes responsibility for the firm’s private equity secondary activities.
 
Marc-Antoine Voisard has been appointed to Unigestion’s Geneva office to lead its European and Asian investment programmes. He was previously an investment director at French fund of funds, Finama Private Equity, and prior to that, a senior auditor at Deloitte & Touche in Paris.
 
David Junod has also joined Unigestion’s Geneva office as an investment analyst, involved in fund selection, secondary transactions and financial modelling. Previously, Junod worked in private banking at HSBC Private Bank in Geneva and London.
 
In addition, Paul Newsome has transferred from the firm’s London office to New York, where he continues to be responsible for North American buyout and global venture investment activities.
 
Founded in 1971, Unigestion currently employs over 100 people, operating from offices in Geneva, Paris, London, Guernsey and New York. The firm manages assets of €6 billion ($7.2 billion) and closed its fourth fund of funds at €200 million in February 2005.
