California-based Vector Capital is promoting Alex Beregovsky and Andy Fishman to managing director.
Fishman joined Vector in 2008, and leads the applications software team. He currently serves on the board of Allegro Development and was previously a director at RAE Systems, which was acquired by Honeywell.
Beregovsky joined Vector in 2010 and leads the internet services, financial technology and security team. He currently serves on the boards of WatchGuard Technologies and Tidel. Prior to joining Vector, Beregovsky was an investment professional at Viking Global Investors.
There has been a bit of internal shuffling at Vector in recent months. The firm hired Jim Murray as CFO in August, after GI Partners hired away then CFO Roy Kelvin. Murray joined the firm from Blum Capital where he served as CFO and chief administrative officer.
Vector makes growth equity investments in technology businesses, and most recently acquired broadcast graphics company ChyronHego in a take private deal. ChyronHego is planning to expand its footprint into sports, news and television with the investment. The transaction was valued at $104.1 million.
The firm is currently investing out of its latest $1.2 billion fund, Vector Capital IV, which was raised in 2007, according to Private Equity International’s research and analytics division.
