New York-based Veronis Suhler Stevenson has hired Patrick Turner as managing director focused on structured capital, mezzanine and private equity. He will also serve as a member of the VSS investment committee.
The hire comes after VSS lost five members of its structured capital team to Riverside Company. VSS is also in the market for its third structured capital fund which is targeting $300 million, according to sources familiar with the matter.
VSS makes investments in the information, business services, healthcare IT, education, media and marketing services industries in North America and Europe. The company has managed six private investment funds with capital commitments totaling over $3 billion.
Prior to joining VSS, Turner was a managing director and member of the management committee at Crescent Capital Group a subprime credit investment manager.
