Wind Point Partners has raised $985 million to date for its Wind Point Partners VIII. The Chicago-headquartered firm had a $750 million target and began fundraising in 2016.
Its previous fund raised $915 million in 2009.
Investors that committed to Wind Point Partners VIII include the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, the Employees Retirement System of Texas and the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System.
The fund will target buyout opportunities in consumer products, industrial products, and business services sectors in North America.
