Russell Read, the chief investment officer of the Alaska Permanent Fund (APFC), has tendered his resignation. A member of the APFC’s Executive Team since May of 2016, Mr. Read leaves to pursue an opportunity based in London according to a press release.
Marcus Frampton has been tapped as acting chief investment officer. Mr. Frampton previously served as the Director of Investments, Real Assets & Absolute Return.
The $65 billion US public pension has a 11 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12 percent.
