BCFPERS commits to three private equity funds

The institution commits $50m to three private equity funds.

Baltimore City Fire and Police Employees’ Retirement System has committed $50 million to three private equity funds, according to a December 2021 investment report document.

The institution committed $20 million to DC Capital Partners Fund III, $20 million to Greenspring Opportunities VII and $10 million to Fairview Private Markets Fund VI. The funds are managed by DC Capital Partners, Stepstone Group and Fairview Capital Partners, respectively.

BCFPERS has previously committed capital to Stepstone and DC Capital. Fairview Capital Partners is a newly established investment relationship with the institution.

The $3.54 billion institution currently invests 10.5 percent to private equity with a target of 11 percent. The System’s recent fund commitments range between $10 million to $20 million.
