Charterhouse taps Bain exec for IR role – exclusive

Valentina Gentile will serve as investor relations director, Private Equity International has learned.

Charterhouse Capital Partners has bolstered its investor relations team with the appointment of a Bain Capital director, Private Equity International has learned.

Valentina Gentile will serve as investor relations director, according to a source with knowledge of the firm. According to her LinkedIn profile, which still lists her as employed at Bain, she served in the firm’s investor relations team with responsibility for raising private equity and credit funds.

Gentile joined the London-headquartered buyout house on 23 August, according to a UK Companies House filing. Charterhouse declined to comment.

The firm bulked up its investor relations team last year with the appointment of Gilles Collombin as partner and head of investor relations and Paul Brown as investor relations manager, PEI reported at the time. The IR team will be five-strong following Gentile’s appointment, according to Charterhouse’s website.

The firm is investing its 10th flagship vehicle which closed below target on €2.3 billion in 2016.

Charterhouse targets mid-to-large cap businesses in the UK, Ireland, France and Benelux as well as Northern and Southern Europe. It invests in four sectors: healthcare, services, industrial and consumer.
