Connecticut confirms $150m in commitments

The US public pension has backed a pair of private equity funds.

Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds approved $150 million-worth of commitments to two private equity funds at its December 2020 investment advisory council meeting, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The commitments comprised $100 million to Clearlake Flagship Plus Partners and $50 million to HarbourVest PartnersSecondary Overflow Fund IV. Connecticut previously committed $50 million to the latter vehicle in January 2020.

The $37.66 billion US public pension has a 7.9 percent allocation to private equity.
