Dorset County considers further private equity investments

The UK public pension will decide on their preferred course of action in due course.

Dorset County Pension Fund has allocated about £650 million to private markets, including £150 million to private equity. Officers will shortly be meeting with Brunel Pension Partnership to discuss opportunities and options for transition planning for Dorset County’s specific circumstances.

The £3 billion UK public pension has a 5 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 2.7 percent.
