ERS approves $60m commitment

Employees Retirement System of Texas has agreed to commit $60 million to Wind Point Partners IX, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. The buyout / corporate private equity fund invests into consumer goods, business services and industrials.

The US public pension has a 13.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 14.23 percent.

As illustrated below, ERS has also committed to the fund’s two predecessors, having committed a total of $180 million to the manager.
