Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance and Prevention Fund seeks PE managers in Korea

The South Korean pension issues an RFP for PE fund managers.

Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance and Prevention Fund has issued a request for proposal for private equity fund managers.

The pension plans to commit a total of 150 billion Korean won ($132 million; €113 million) to three private equity managers. Eligible managers should manage a fund of at least 150 billion Korean won and possess at least five years’ experience in the private equity industry.

The submission date is 18 November and a decision will be put to the investment committee in mid December.

The 21.19 trillion Korean won ($18.7 billion; €16.0 billion) Korean pension currently has a 9.79 percent allocation to alternative investments.
