INPRS approves $98 million in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North American private equity funds.

Indiana Public Employees Retirement System (INPRS) has agreed to commit $70 million to York Special Opportunities Fund III (YSOF III) and $28 million to YSOF III Prairie Coinvest, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. YSOF III Prairie Coinvest is a sidecar vehicle investing alongside York Capital Management’s third series special opportunities fund.

The $35.09 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12.10 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, INPRS has made 12 commitments to private equity funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $806.75 million.
