Korea’s NPS seeks domestic VC fund managers

The South Korean pension issues a request for proposal for local VC managers.

National Pension Service of Korea (NPS) has issued a request for proposal for domestic venture capital fund managers.

The pension plans to commit a total of 150 billion Korean won ($115 million; €113 million) to up to four venture capital fund managers. Eligible managers should manage a fund of at least 50 billion won.

The submission deadline is 1 September 2022, with the final decision set to be made in November.

South Korea’s largest pension has a 14.4 percent allocation to alternative investment.
