KTCU seeks several PE opportunities

The South Korean teachers' pension seeks to commit to domestic private equity and venture capital funds.

Korean Teachers’ Credit Union (KTCU) has issued a request for proposal to domestic private equity and venture capital fund managers. It aims to commit a total of KRW800 billion ($698 million; €622 million) across nine private equity fund managers and KRW90 billion ($78.5 million; €70 million) to seven venture capital managers with closed-end, blind-pool funds.

For private equity funds, the successful firms will have funds of at least KRW500 billion ($436 million; €388.7 million) in size. For venture capital funds, the successful firms will have funds of at least KRW60 billion ($52.3 million; €46.7 million) in size.

The submission deadline is 10 May with a decision put forth to the investment committee mid-June.
