KTPF seeks domestic VC fund managers

The South Korean pension issues a RFP for local VC fund managers.

Korea Teachers Pension Fund has issued a request for proposal for domestic venture capital managers.

The pension plans to commit a total of 60 billion Korean won ($51.6 million; €44.1 million) to three private equity managers. Eligible managers should manage a fund of at least 70 billion Korean won with at least 10 years’ experience in the private equity industry.

The submission deadline is 8 October 2020 with a decision put forth to the investment committee late November.

The 20.75 trillion Korean won pension has a 24.0 percent target allocation to alternative investment that currently stands at 21.2 percent.
