MainePERS confirms $120m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two private equity vehicles.

Maine Public Employees Retirement System has confirmed $120 million-worth of commitments across two private equity funds, a contact at the pension confirmed to Private Equity International.

The commitments comprised $45 million to Deerpath Capital VI and $75 million to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund XI.

MainePERS has a 15 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 19.6 percent.

As illustrated below, the $18.2 billion US public pension’s previous private equity commitments have targeted a variety of vehicles, from US-focused co-investment vehicles to global buyout funds.
