Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (Mellon Foundation) boosted its allocation to private equity from 39.39 percent in December 2017 to 43.81 percent in December 2018, according to the foundation’s latest annual report.

As illustrated in the charts below, The Mellon Foundation’s last private equity commitments were to 2017-vintage Clarion Investors III, 645 Ventures II and ABRY Senior Equity V. These three North America-focused funds have buyouts, venture capital and mezzanine / debt strategies respectively.
