Montana Board of Investments makes $20m commitment

The Montana Board of Investments has agreed to commit $20 million to Foundation Capital IX, according to a representative within the organization. The fund is managed by Foundation Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm that focuses on technology markets.

The $18.93 billion government Investment Board currently allocates 15.6% of the funds to alternatives.

As illustrated in the charts below, Montana Board of Investment has a 12.1% allocation to private equity and has made eight commitments to Private Equity funds in 2018, which combined constitute $355 million.
