New Jersey Division of Investment confirms $600m in commitments

The US public pension has committed to three separately managed accounts.

New Jersey Division of Investment has agreed to commit up to $600 million across three separately managed accounts, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The commitments to separately managed accounts comprise $250 million each to BlackRock and Neuberger Berman; and $100 million to Asia Alternatives Management.

As illustrated below, the pension allocates 11.91 percent of its full investment portfolio to private equity. Its recent private equity commitments have focused on investments in North America and Asia-Pacific.
