NPS approves $150m commitment

The South Korean pension has backed a private equity fund.

National Pension Service of Korea has agreed to commit $150 million to Stafford International Timberland Fund IX, which is managed by Stafford Capital Partners. By investing into the fund, NPS will get exposure to a diverse global timberland portfolio acquired mainly through secondaries strategy.

The Korean pension’s commitments have been made to funds that focus on the buyout/corporate private equity, venture capital/growth equity and secondaries strategy across several regions.
