NYSCRF approves $468.5m in commitments

The US public pension has backed four private equity funds in its latest round of commitments.

New York State Common Retirement Fund has confirmed $468.5 million-worth of commitments to four private equity vehicles, according to the pension’s February 2021 monthly transaction report.

The commitments comprised $200 million to FIMI Opportunity VII,  €200 million to Blantyre Special Situations Fund II, $24 million to New Harbor Capital Fund III and $10 million to JVP Growth Opportunity X. New Harbor Capital has been backed as a part of NYSCRF’s emerging manager programme.

The $247.7 billion US pension fund has a 10 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 11.2 percent.
